Opportunities don’t come along too often as a Business Manager working in a large specialist practice.
Well you’ve come to the right place.
Their Business Manager who has been part of the team for sixteen years, is now spreading their wings, creating an opportunity for a vibrant, capable leader ready to take the reins of the practice.
What will you be doing, one may ask?
You’ll oversee the seamless daily operations of the practice, ensuring every detail is on track, from patient satisfaction to staff efficiency, inventory to payroll, and clinics to compliance.
Each day brings something different, and you’ll be the steady force managing it all.
Your responsibilities will range from troubleshooting patient issues, Medicare claims, and even IT challenges, to leading and guiding staff to keep daily operations efficient and smooth.
Your day-to-day focus will include ensuring all scheduled clinics—doctor’s appointments—are fully booked and staffed, with a strong support team in place.
Delegating to the admin team and maintaining that each clinic is filled and serviced will be essential.
You’ll coordinate the complex, from organising doctors who fly in from Sydney for early 6:30 am starts to overseeing staff performance, rostering, and efficiency.
Smooth operations are crucial, and you’ll be the one making it happen.
This means regularly meeting with various departments, keeping the practice stocked with supplies, handling payroll bi-weekly through MYOB, and ensuring a constant pulse on the practice’s many moving parts to prevent any interruption to patient care.
As the leader of the practice, you’ll set the tone with a calm and thoughtful approach under pressure.
Your leadership style is collaborative – leading by example, and fostering an environment where staff can thrive.
This role isn’t just about management—it’s about shaping the future of the practice. Working closely with the Principal Physician you’ll have the support and autonomy to innovate processes, enhance patient care, and even organise social events that strengthen the team culture.
Your strong organisational skills will be essential as you coordinate scheduling for doctors, nurses, and allied health staff, and your eye for detail will shine when managing compliance, accreditation, and claims.
You’ll bring exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, connecting smoothly with all stakeholders in the practice and creating a collaborative atmosphere that benefits patients and staff alike.
Whether you’re currently a Business Manager or a Senior Medical Administrator looking for a step up, this role offers a welcoming, supportive team and room to grow.
