Sales and marketing?
That’s right in your wheelhouse.
Commercial strategy?
You’re already thinking two steps ahead.
You’re the one who keeps the engine running and the wheels spinning – The Sales King or Queen, we may say.
You’ll be stepping into a world-class, high-tech glasshouse facility in Goulburn Valley at a pivotal moment—right as the business sets new benchmarks in horticulture from the heart of regional Victoria.
Now, let’s get a few things straight;
This isn’t a sit-behind-the-desk kind of role, you’ll be right in the thick of it, making sure everything from order fulfilment to sales strategy is ticking along smoothly.
You’re someone who likes rolling up your sleeves, solving problems on the fly, and keeping the wheels turning.
You’ll be managing the daily sales flow, working closely with their marketing partner and direct sales customers, and making sure every product gets to where it needs to go—on time, in full, and to spec.
It’s about making the most of what’s grown, minimising waste, and ensuring the best return for every tray of tomatoes.
You’ll also be exploring new sales channels and keeping your eyes peeled for fresh market opportunities to keep things moving in the right direction.
You’ll be the go-to for customers when it comes to order status, product availability, and the odd curveball that needs resolving.
Building strong relationships with both customers and the Marketing Partner’s is key.
Internally, you’ll work closely with the packhouse, logistics and ops teams to make sure orders are spot on.
And when it comes to pricing, invoicing or the occasional dispute, you’ll team up with finance to keep things clear and accurate.
On the commercial side, you’ll keep a close eye on the marketing performance, checking everything stays aligned with business goals, reporting into the management team, and setting up a solid rhythm of check-ins.
Think daily sales calls, seasonal planning sessions, market engagement—you’ll be helping set the pace.
Plus, you’ll be the key link between production and marketing, keeping those forecasting conversations flowing and accurate.
There’s also plenty of scope to make things better.
You’ll be encouraged to call out inefficiencies, improve processes, and bring fresh thinking to how sales and order management run.
Your insights will help shape better forecasting and demand planning, and make sure all the important back-end stuff (like records and internal policies) are in good shape too.
Relationship-building doesn’t stop there.
You’ll also stay connected with key retailers and wholesale markets around the country, understanding what’s happening, where the opportunities are, and working with the Marketing Partner to keep the product mix relevant and strategic.
And of course, you’ll be keeping an eye on the big picture.
Market intel, pricing trends, supply chain shifts – you’ll take it all in, break down the data, and help guide the business with solid, clear reporting.
There is opportunity to build a reporting suite that brings transparency and helps the leadership team make smart, commercial decisions as the business continues to grow.
To hit the ground running, you’ll need a solid understanding of fresh produce—plus strong commercial instincts and it goes without saying, great communication skills.
