You’ve pulled engines apart for fun.
Time to get paid properly for it.
Not everyone gets it but you do. The curiosity. The tinkering. The need to know how it all works and make it better. This is where that mindset actually goes somewhere.
We’re working with Malibu Boats Australia, a premium boat manufacturer building some of the most advanced wake and performance boats on the water.
And this role is all about installing state-of-the-art engines into those builds. Not servicing. Not patching things up. Building from the ground up.
You might be:
• A mechanic looking to get away from the vehicle game and work only with a premium product.
• Someone who started a mechanical apprenticeship but wants a different path
• The person who’s always been the engine expert in your circle.
What matters is simple:
• You understand how engines work
• You’re hands-on and detail-focused
• You take pride in doing things properly
The setup:
• 4-day work week, Monday to Thursday
• 6:00am to 4:00pm
• Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday off
• Meticulous workshop, everything has its place
• High-end builds, not run-of-the-mill jobs
This role very rarely comes up, this is a chance to step in and put your mechanical skillset to proper use.
The current engine assembler has been in the role for four years and is now moving into another part of the business, which tells you a bit about how good the place is to work.
It also means this is a rare chance to step in and put your mechanical skillset to proper use.
You won’t be thrown in the deep end either. You’ll get full training and a proper handover, along with support from the wider team to get you up to speed.
Right now, your skills might be going to waste. You’re capable of more than:
• Basic servicing
• Repetitive jobs
• Work that doesn’t challenge you
This is different. You’ll be:
• Working on premium performance engines
• Part of a build process from start to finish
• Surrounded by people who actually care about quality
Instead of just fixing problems, you’re building something that people genuinely get excited about owning.
This is the kind of role where your hobby-level interest turns into a proper career path.
If you’ve got the mechanical brain and want to step into something a level above, this is it.
