You’ll work directly with the Head Grower.
Planning. Forecasting. Refining.
You will help steer yield, manage crop strategy, optimise inputs and keep quality where it should be.
Not reactively.
Intentionally.
This is a high-tech operation in Tongala.
Climate control. Fertigation strategy. IPDM. Energy efficiency. Compliance that actually means something.
Your job is to optimise crop yield while minimising inputs and ensuring food safety, quality and WHS standards are met.
You’ll oversee day-to-day cropping activities, lead junior growers, crop oversight and contribute to forecasting and weekly reporting.
Not just growing.
Managing performance.
In the first few months, you’ll learn the rhythm of the site. Understand how labour, energy, climate and crop interact. Build trust with the team.
By six months, you’re confidently forecasting yield, refining labour allocation, spotting risks early and making calls that directly influence production and budget outcomes.
You won’t be doing it solo.
You’ll have support from the Head Grower, who has had 25 years of experience in the game. A wealth of experience and knowledge to lean on.
Open communication. No ego. No politics.
This role suits someone with real high-tech greenhouse experience.
Five-plus years in a technical grower or senior capacity.
Strong understanding of climate systems, fertigation, crop steering and compliance.
Calm under pressure.
You’re not authoritarian, you don’t wait to be told what to do.
You lead by example.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience, with room to move for the right operator.
