How contingency recruitment is damaging your chance of finding the perfect fit…
Contingency recruiting works on a ‘no win, no fee basis’ where a recruitment agency is engaged, but only gets paid if the candidate they find is hired by the organisation.
Sounds great, right?
Wrong…
This is a tactic often adopted by an organisation so they can engage multiple agencies to fill the one role.
The mindset is that the more agencies they give the vacancy to, the quicker and better the result.
This couldn’t be further from the truth.
Utilising multiple agencies sounds well and good, however, we are all fishing in the same pond, so to speak.
All that happens is it becomes a race to see who can send the most CVs in the least amount of time.
This is a backwards mentality and quality goes out the window.
With this approach, agencies don’t take thorough briefs, they don’t take the time to screen candidates effectively, simply sending CVs and hoping for the best; that the client will want to
interview one of their candidates.
It’s in your best interest to partner with someone exclusively 👏🏼👏🏼
